          The business of  Administrative Reforms  Inspections & Trainings Department is transacted in accordance with J&K Business Rules. At the Secretariat Level  the Department is headed by an Administrative  Secretary.

         In terms of Rule 4(i)  of the Business Rules, the following subjects are assigned to the Administrative Reforms Inspections, Trainings & Grievances Department.

     1.  Administrative Reforms

     2.  Government Presses.

     3.  Inspections.

     4.  Stationery & Office Supplies.

     5.  BOPEE

     6.  Trainings

     7.  Educational loans & Scholarships

     8.   Redressal of Public Grievances.

         The Department of Administrative Reforms and Inspections for Jammu & Kashmir holds charge for Administrative reforms for other departments. ARI also acts as guide to Engineering and Medical college students in matters related to transfer policy. ARI also responsible for surprise inspections of all head of the departments. ARI & Trainings Department is also monitoring and ensuring submission of monthly tour Diaries by all District Heads and Heads of Department.

         The Administrative Secretary, ARI & Trainings Department holds the Administrative Control of the following Head of Departments (HoDs):

1. Directorate of Stationery & Office Supplies, J&K

2. Ranbir Government Press, Jammu.

3. Government Press Srinagar
